IBM OS/2 2.0
OS/2 2.0 includes an extensive help system. The "Start Here" object
on the desktop opens the general help. More help files are located in the
Information folder as well as a tutorial program.
Minimized programs do not appear on the desktop, but rather they appear
in the "Minimized Window Viewer" folder.
You can display a complete window list by pressing both mouse buttons
1 and 2 at the same time.
This screen shot shows the control panel and the mouse settings.
Oddly, OS/2 2.0 defaults to using the right mouse button for dragging
objects. but as shown here you can customize and reconfigure all of this
to behave any way you want it.
I already mentioned that the backgrounds of folders can be changed,
but a very interesting feature in the control panel is a set of pallets
used to drag and drop settings to individual windows. You can set individual
background colors with the color pallet, set the font type and size by
dragging and dropping from the font pallet, and set the window border and
menu colors by dragging and dropping from the scheme pallet.
Again, you can apply each of these settings individually to each folder.
The Scheme editor lets you specify the color for windows, dialogs,
popup menus and more. Each scheme is stored in the pallet.
