IBM OS/2 Warp 4
OS/2 Warp contains a Windows 3.1 subsystem, which allows you to run
many 16 bit Windows 3.1 programs. The subsystem actually runs a customized
version of Windows 3.1 licensed from Microsoft inside of OS/2.
Web Explorer is the default web browser that comes with OS/2. It is
a very basic web browser and can not render most "modern" web pages. There
is a link on the desktop to where you can download a Netscape (either 2.1
or 4.61) browser. Mozilla is also available for OS/2.
The OS/2 WarpGuide is an extensive, interactive help system, which
tells you all about any dialog box and the objects within. This is similar
in a way to Macintosh Balloon Help.
The OS/2 WarpBar provides an easily accessible menu of programs and
other system objects. The buttons on the warp bar provide quick access
to commonly use programs or folders.
