The DECWindows system comes with an e-mail client and calendar scheduler
utility.
While I didn't need to use this to make these screen shots, I found
it interesting that DECWindows includes its own screen capture / printing
utility.

The first of these larger pictures shows the Calculator, Clock, the
Work In Progress window with the buttons visible (got cut off on the first
screen shot), The session manager with one of its menus "torn" off in to
a separate window, the window manager right-click desktop popup menu, and
the NCSA Mosaic web browser.
The second of these shows a comparison of various calculators. The X
calculator, the KDE calculator, the Gimp, and KEdit are running on the
local Linux box while the window manager is and everything else are running
on the VAX mainframe. An interesting demonstration of the flexibility
of the X windowing system.
